Physiotherapy

Rehabilitation and Maintenance for Mobility and Independence

As we age, changes in muscle strength, balance, flexibility, and mobility can affect the ability to carry out daily activities. Conditions following injury, surgery, stroke, muscle and joint pain, or reduced physical function may require the right rehabilitation support.

Senior physiotherapy services at RUKUN Senior Living Sentul are designed to help maintain or improve physical function through assessments and programs tailored to each individual's condition and needs. Services are available for both general clients and seniors in the RUKUN community.

Physiotherapy Tailored to Every Senior's Condition

Not every senior has the same physical abilities and needs. Therefore, the program begins by understanding physical condition and movement function before determining the appropriate form of therapy or exercise.

Maintain or improve mobility
Increase muscle strength
Train balance and coordination
Maintain flexibility and movement quality
Support recovery after injury or certain health conditions
Help reduce complaints in muscles and joints
Maintain the ability to perform daily activities independently

Physiotherapy Services at RUKUN

1. Physiotherapy Assessment

Recognise physical condition before determining the program.

A comprehensive physiotherapy assessment is carried out to understand the senior's physical and functional condition, including mobility, muscle strength, balance, flexibility, posture, and movement patterns. The assessment results form the basis for identifying individual needs and determining appropriate physiotherapy or physical exercise recommendations.

2. One-on-One Physiotherapy

Personal support according to individual needs.

Individual physiotherapy sessions are designed based on each senior's condition, complaints, abilities, and functional needs. The program focuses on maintaining or improving mobility, physical function, and independence in daily activities.

3. Hydrotherapy

Exercise in water with lighter load on the body.

Hydrotherapy is a physical exercise programme in water designed for seniors, combining light aerobic movement, mobility exercises, muscle strengthening, and balance. The water environment provides low-impact exercise so seniors can stay active while supporting fitness, muscle strength, mobility, and body balance.

4. Movement Aging

Stay active as you age.

Movement Aging is a group exercise programme to support healthy and active ageing through mobility exercises, stretching, balance, flexibility, strength, and functional movement. This programme helps seniors maintain quality of movement and retain the physical ability needed for daily activities.
